Personal Counselling

COUNSELLING SERVICES HOURS:

Monday        8:30-4:30

Tuesday        8:30-4:30

Wednesday   8:30-4:30

Thursday       8:30-7:00

Friday            8:30-4:30


Professional counselling is available whatever the severity of the immediate situation - whether an urgent personal matter, coping with everyday stress, or dealing with longer-term issues.  Urgent appointments are offered depending on counsellor availability.

Counselling provides an opportunity to explore and find solutions to circumstances or issues which are interfering with the quality of your University experience.

 

Below is a partial list of the types of issues and concerns counsellors can support you in addressing:

  • communication/assertiveness skills
  • roommate disagreements or concerns
  • dealing with your family of origin
  • eating disorders or eating concerns
  • sexual/physical/emotional abuse
  • Coping with stress

  • post-trauma debriefing
