First year isn’t too early to start thinking about career planning and job search! Wilfrid Laurier University’s Career Centre provides one of the most comprehensive services in the country. The Career Centre can help you to: figure out what you want to do when you graduate; assist with career and educational decisions; apply to post-degree educational programs; and land a great summer, part-time and/or full-time job.
We offer individual appointment, drop in hours, and numerous workshops and events.
The Career Centre can help you to develop a strong résumé, find a part-time, summer or full time job, and prepare for interviews. Plan to attend the Career Fair in September and the Job Fair in February where you can meet over 200 employers actively recruiting students.
Also, over 2,000 part-time, summer and full-time jobs are posted annually on our online job posting system.
Many Brantford employers are using this service to hire students.

The Career Centre offers a variety of assessment tools that will help you to discover your values, skills, interests, and personality, and identify career options that are right for you. The Career Centre can also help you research careers so you will know what education, skills, and experiences employers in that field look for in candidates.
The Career Centre can help you research and apply for professional, graduate and post-degree college programs. Whether it’s education, law school, masters programs or specialized college programs, we have the information you need.
